THE COMPLETION OF PRIMORDIAL WISDOM:

A YANGZAB DZOGCHEN RETREAT

with Ven. Khenpo Yeshi Rinpoche

Sunray Peace Village | Lincoln, VT & Online

June 26-28, 2026

Dear Dharma Friends,

Drikung Dzogchen Community Vermont warmly invites you to join us June 26-28 for a three-day Yangzab Dzogchen retreat in Lincoln, Vermont and online. We are honored to welcome accomplished scholar and practitioner Ven. Khenpo Yeshi Rinpoche to offer these profound teachings.

The Yangzab treasure teachings are unique to the Drikung Kagyu lineage, revealed as an earth treasure by Drikung Tertön Rinchen Phuntsok. Padmasambhava prophesied that these teachings would be especially effective at cutting through spiritual darkness in difficult times, leading to swift and complete realization.

Venerable Khenpo Yeshi Rinpoche will guide us through The Completion of Primordial Wisdom, the root Dzogrim text of the Yangzab cycle. Over the course of this very special retreat, Khenpo will provide teachings on core Yangzab Dzogchen practices. Transmissions will include Yangzab Padmasattva, a foundational Guru Yoga practice for purification and preparation for higher practice, and completion-stage Dzogchen practices including Trekchö and Thögal.

We hope you will join us for these precious teachings!

About Khenpo Yeshi Rinpoche

Ven. Khenpo Yeshi Rinpoche was born in Nakchu, East Tibet, in 1969. He showed a deep devotion to the Dharma from early childhood, and at thirteen received empowerments, transmissions, and oral instructions in the Longchen Nyingthig cycle from His Eminence Lungtok Rinpoche and His Eminence Nidrag Khenpo Konchok Gyaltsen.

At twenty he traveled to South India, where he trained across the Geluk, Kagyü, and Nyingma traditions at Sera Monastery, Dzogchen Monastery, and Drikung Jangchup Ling, excelling in both sutra and tantra. He studied closely with more than two dozen eminent masters and received the kama and terma transmissions of the Nyingma tradition from teachers including His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Chatral Sangye Dorje Rinpoche, and His Holiness Drikung Chetsang Rinpoche.

In 1993 he entered an intensive three-year retreat in Nepal under the renowned Dzogchen master Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, who granted him special Dzogchen teachings and personal instructions at the Asura Cave Retreat Center in Pharping. He went on to teach at Ka-Nying Shedrup Ling and Rangjung Yeshe Institute, helping shape monastic and international curricula still in use today. His connection with His Eminence Garchen Rinpoche, beginning in 1998, eventually brought him to reside in the United States.

Khenpo Yeshi Rinpoche holds a PhD in South and Southeast Asian Studies from UC Berkeley and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Ho Center for Buddhist Studies at Stanford University.
